Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born on 16 March, 1984. She was born in Kildare Ireland. She has been on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March, 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea began her stand-up comedy career in 2011after having appeared in small parts on several Irish television shows and British series since 2009. The year 2012 saw her begin appearing on a variety of sketch and sitcoms. In 2012, after winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for numerous panel shows for which she is now a regular. In 2016 and 2017, she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The actress is the child of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her younger sister, was born. In 2012, she was awarded the So You Think You're Funny Award twice. Bea was presented with the award to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian took his life at the age of three. He was an equine veterinarian. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death away until she turned 13. In 2017 she wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and she adopted the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher jockey trainer and professional jockey for a time. Her family were racing and horse-related. In her youth Bea was an instructor in the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early age that she was not attracted to the race industry for a profession, but instead was a performer.
